All About Me

Hey, thanks for visiting my blog! Here is just a little about me.

My name is Taylor

I am an overthinking, control freak

Perfectionist with my work and how I live my life. Hate a messy house, prefer to just spend time with my family, love crafts, planning, organizing and traveling. I am a pretty outspoken person and just try to be the best me possible. Being a good person is important to me, helping others and giving to those who have less it something I love.

My Life

I am married to a wonderful man; two and a half years married and six years total together. He is my best friend, he makes me laugh and brings out the more relaxed side of me because I can be an uptight 80 year old at times. We have two beautiful children, a boy (5) and a girl (3). They are healthy and perfect in every way . Although lets get real, sometimes they are shit heads who write on my wall and conspire to wreck a clean house.

I was 17 and a junior in high school when I met my husband; not long after we became pregnant with our son and life was forever changed. Things were hard for us for the first two years of our relationship, we were young, we were dumb, we thought the other was wrong but after finding out we were pregnant with our daughter we decided to pull our heads out of our asses and get life together. I am so happy for those early hard years because they make me appreciate the amazing life we now get to live.

Just a little about what we like to do as a family

Our family enjoys most outdoor activities, summer is filled with fishing, boating, riding the side-by-side, camping and playing softball. We are constantly on the go or busy doing something. Life is never boring around this house. Camping is my favorite thing to do; it is my happy place. Away from all the hustle of life and people. And who doesn’t love a s’more or three. I grew up in the outdoors and so have our children. Our kids have enjoyed hunting and fishing since they were tiny babies. We feel it is important skills and life experiences for them.

Onto a new journey

Our family just currently moved to a smaller town in Idaho. We will be building our home on 15 acres and I will get to have my small farm. I absolutely love the idea of being self sustaining and growing our own food. However, I will need to seriously work on my gardening skills if I want to be eating any salad. I have been a crazy Pinterest woman figuring out how to best utilizes my space and the layout of everything I want. One of the biggest reasons we decided to relocate our family is the kids will get to run to play without worries and also go to a great small school (LIKE TINY!)  It is truly an exciting time for us and we cannot wait until it all comes together. Finally our forever home.

What I Love

My family is truly the biggest inspiration and motivation in life. I decided to start this blog for a number of different reasons.

1. Life can be rough and sometimes it feels like your alone in your struggles.

2. I absolutely love DIY projects and sharing my craftiness with others

3. To share our adventures and the tips and tricks I have learned along the way to make life a little easier

4. To document our journey of buying land, building a house and starting a small farm

I suppose I should introduce you to my little family.

Justin is my husband

He is a fly by the seat of your pants kind of person. Always ready for the next challenge, always looking for how we can better our family or how he can push himself to be even better at what he does. Can’t is not part of his vocabulary, he will take whatever is thrown at him and come out on top every time. Extraordinary is the best word I can use to describe him. He is truly my best friend, we talk about everything, we share dreams and goals for the years to come, he makes me laugh nonstop, he is my everything. Justin is the biggest reason I am the person I am today, without him I am not sure where I would be. I most certainly hit the jackpot with this man; however, that doesn’t mean sometimes I don’t want to whack him in the head with a frying pan.

Briden is my son

He is five, full of energy and just like his daddy. He loves hunting, fishing, playing sports and of course teasing his little sister. This little boy turned my world upside down, side ways and backwards; life has been a crazy adventure learning to be the best mommy to him. I was unaware of how much you could love one person until he came into my life. Even though I was young when I had him and was unsure of some many things in life, he was our miracle baby; he brought together a family that had been through so much fighting and chaos. He will forever be my baby boy.

Jadyn is my little sassy princess

Full of piss and vinegar! She is a ham to be around and your never sure of what may come out of her mouth. She will tell you herself she is a princess (daddy has slightly spoiled her). Jadyn is an independent child that knows what she wants and when she wants it. Momma is a little terrified of the teen years; I have always been told I would have one just like me and wow was my mom right. Not only does she look like me, she acts just like me. YIKES! She loves to play with her babies, dress up in costumes and sing. Little miss gives me a run for my money but I am such a sucker for snuggles.

Thank you

I just want to thank you again for visiting my blog and reading through this extremely long post about myself. My hopes are that you will enjoy all the randomness that is me. I will be writing about a wide range of topics and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me by leaving a comment or emailing me at
