Hey there if you have been to my page before then you know we love to hunt! This year my husband and I both filled our deer tags and now we get to enjoy all the tasty recipes! I made this deer roast last night and the whole family love it. Hope you enjoy!

Venison Roast

Ingredients

*2-3 pounds of Venison

*1/2 an onion

*4 Potatoes

*Carrots

*1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce

*1/4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce

*1 Tablespoon Montreal Steak Seasoning

*1 Teaspoon of Garlic Salt

*1 Teaspoon of Onion Powder

*1/2 Teaspoon of Pepper

*1 Package of Mushroom Gravy

*1/4 Cup Water

Directions

*Cut Potatoes and onions

Venison Roast

*Place half of potatoes, onions and carrots in bottom of crockpot

*Put Venison into crockpot and add remaining vegetables

*Mix seasonings together and sprinkle onto of vegetables

*Cook on low for 6 Hours

*We add gravy to the top of our roast to be extra juicy and delicious

    I learned many, many years ago, from an older native Idahoan, to use coffee (if you have no leftover, make a new pot) when cooking meat. It helps give it more flavor, helps to tenderize it, and even gives the gravy a touch more color.
